A full check of the wiring, with a clear report you can act on

EICRs & Electrical Safety Checks

An EICR is a health check for the wiring in a building. We test every circuit, open up the board, check the earthing and look for anything worn out or unsafe. You get a written report with each fault graded, so you know what must be fixed now and what can wait.

Landlords in England need one at least every five years. Liverpool and Manchester have a lot of rented homes, so landlords here need them often. We book around your tenants and send the report to you or your agent. For shops, offices and factories we test on the cycle your insurer asks for. If we find something dangerous, we make it safe before we leave.

EICR questions, answered

How often do I need an EICR?

Rented homes in England need one at least every five years. Most shops and offices are checked every five years too. Factories and busy sites need it more often. We will tell you the right gap for yours.

How much does an EICR cost?

It depends on the size of the building and how many circuits it has. We give you one fixed price in writing before we start.

How long does it take?

A normal house takes a few hours. Bigger buildings take longer. We tell you how long when we book you in.

What if the report finds faults?

We explain each one and give you a fixed price to put it right. You decide. Once the work is done we give you the updated paperwork.
